⇥ After spending time in hiding after Rufus ShinRa implied him as the leak giving away ShinRa's information to AVALANCHE, Veld returns to take his place as the Director of General Affairs when a backroom deal is struck between his Turks and the young Vice President.

One life for another, in this case, the life of Jack ShinRa for Veld's. With this came Rufus' ascent to the title of President, of course, but it also sealed the loyalty of the group he would need to keep that power.

...For now, anyway. The memory of betrayal is long in those who have been in this business.

✪ Relations with His Turks✪

⇥ Tseng: 1led_them 
Tseng is his trusted second in command, the one he left in charged when forced to go into hiding. He has taught him much since he came into the Turks, rearing him from youth to manhood with firm and harsh training but a guiding hand. He is quite invested in the other, as he plans to allow him to take his place one day as leader of the Turks and fill his shoes to take the position, but he has complete faith in Tseng, even if he never tends to show it.

⇥Cissnei: crimsonguarddog 
A girl in ShinRa's Orphan Program, Veld had her transferred to the Turks while she was still very young and began to train her as one of them. He watched her grow up quickly to be inducted into the Turks at the youngest age ever of twelve, trained between himself, a Turk known as Legend and the ShinRa Academy before bringing her into Midgar to stay. She was not always so easy to train at times, but patience, firm guidance, and even decisions to move her from one city to another all paid off to produce the hardworking and quick witted woman he has working for him today.

⇥Reno: wlknonbrknglass 
Pulled from the ShinRa Academy in his teenage years, it was only about a few weeks before the Director changed and took a Laissez-faire type attitude with Reno- given a long leash, and a chance to work without someone breathing down his neck suddenly changed the Rookie from a 'Lazy' slacker to someone who got the job done and done well. Enough so that Reno would eventually be promoted to Third in Command of the Turks. If Veld needs a mission completed carefully and methodically, but with little constraint in time, Reno is the one he first considers for the job.

⇥Strife: reservoir_dog 
A lowly Cadet with no potential to become a SOLDIER, but with something there that Veld felt was worthwhile, he approached the boy and gave him the option of shedding his name and becoming one of them. He paired the now-Rookie Strife up with a Mentor closer to his age and someone he knows well that he can trust to show him the ropes. He looks forward to seeing the progress.
